The best times are when friends visit. When good friends visit you see how amazing it is to have a place out in nature to spend time with friends. Jess spent her childhood summers at her family's lake house in Minnesota so when she comes up she's ready to pitch in. She told me around the campfire, "it's great to hang out and enjoy nature, but there's jobs to do, and that's part of having a cabin, people working together." Plantman got mad lucky to build his life with such a lovely wife.
The tongue in groove wood was delivered by the building supplier and Chris and I brought in the few hundred 16ft sticks. It formed a giant pile in the middle of the room that we were stepping over for months.
Outside we decided to try to grow some moss in the shady part of our newly leveled lawn. The secret is to take clumps of existing moss, mix it with buttermilk and beer which act as food to grow and spread the spores. Becca mixed ours with a stick, like a witches brew.
