#binning September was the month of BIN...the primer we used on the raw pine boards. The knots in the wallboards need to be sealed before the walls are painted to prevent the pine resin from bleeding through. Each knot needs 3 coats of BIN with a drying time of 15 minutes between each coat. I set up an assembly line on the deck...carrying each board out of the house, sanding, binning, and then back into the cabin for Randy to nail on the wall. The dotted walls are driving me a little crazy, but it was way easier to seal the knots this way then if they were already on the wall. The next step is wood putty to fill the holes and imperfections.
