We returned from two weeks in Italy on Memorial Day, and had one last day in our own apartment before the subletters took over. It was nice to sleep in our own bed once more before a summer of borrowed beds and a blow-up mattress.
Our first stop was to Becca’s parent’s house in Oneida to get ready for the trip. Becca cleaned the entire trucks interior while I built “The Polish Tonneau” cover for the bed of the truck. We’ve nearly filled the entire bed and the extended cab with our stuff, so we needed the bed to be lockable.
It had been a while since the interior was cleaned…
After a quick stop in Boston to see friends and family, we headed to Acadia National Park in Maine for a week of test camping to make sure we have the right equipment before we head out west.
